As a tourist attraction, Nanfangao has a never-ending stream of tourists, but the majority merely stays for 2 to 3 hours. As a result, the lasting impressions of this small village are often just its seafood and Mazu, the guardian of seafarers. For our first exhibition, we invited photographer Smallgi to create a simple and down-to-earth record of Nanfangao – some familiar, some forgotten. We invite you to come and explore the fishing village through his lens, and learn about its past and present.
